Tony Walker1975 to 1977InformationI
attended TDS after transferring from the Wilfred Pickles School (also run by Scope)
at the age of 14. Since leaving the school I have lost touch with everyone apart
from one fellow transferee from WPS, although I did meet up with some former
students at a WPS reunion about 8 years ago. After
leaving TDS I attended a clerical course at my local technical college here in
Watford before getting a copy-typing job in the administration headquarters of
the Engineering Industry Training Board. During
my time at the EITB, I continued my education at evening classes and gained a
professional qualification in Data Processing Management. I also learnt to drive
and subsequently passed the Institute of Advanced Motorists' advanced driving
test and became a member of the Institute. In
1991 I was made redundant and set up my own corporate chauffeur drive business.
After a shaky start, I have now got an established and fairly successful
business. I employ two drivers on a casual part-time basis and have just taken
delivery of a new Mercedes. Most of the work is carried out on a contract basis
for companies and organisations such as Strat-X, Avon Cosmetics, Deluxe Data and
the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. The majority of my work involves airport
transfers and driving clients into Central London for meetings and dinner
functions, etc. It involves a lot of strange working hours! EMail: tony60@supanet.com |
